Life size model of the right foot with all major nerves depicted,shown on both dorsal and plantar surfaces.Foot can be removed and placed on the stand upside down to facilitate viewing of the plantar surface. This detailed foot bone model is designed to be used as visual aid for medical students,as well as for patient-education by medical prefessionals.

The human foot is a strong and complex mechanical structure containing 26 bones,33 joints (20 of which are actively articulated),and more than a hundred muscles,tendons, and ligaments.The joints of the foot are the ankle and subtalar joint and the interphalangeal articulations of the foot.

The foot itself can be divided into 3 parts:the hindfoot,the midfoot,and the forefoot. The hindfoot is composed of 2 of the 7 tarsal bones,the talus, and the calcaneus;the midfoot contains the rest of the
tarsal bones;and the forefoot contains the metatarsals and the
phalanges.
